First Invites

Unveiling the first invited teams that enter the ASUS ROG Summer 2016 CS:GO Tournament on August 5-6 to fight for a slice of the $25,000 USD prize pool.

It is only roughly three weeks until the ASUS ROG Summer 2016 CS:GO Tournament hops on the server and starts the show in Helsinki, Finland. The event presents eight invited teams competing for the championship, a share of the $25,000 USD price pot, and a chance to play on the main stage of Assembly Summer computer festival in front of thousands of people. Since we released the event last week, so far we have received nearly one hundred invitation requests. While the invitation process is still under way and we are still accepting applications, we are now prepared to reveal the first first three invited teams.

The first invites to ASUS ROG Summer 2016 have been sent to ENCE eSportsLGR, and Epsilon eSports. Currently ENCE and LGR (ex-RCTIC) are considered the two best teams in Finland, and while many would wager the former in the lead, the speculation ends at Assembly Summer on August 4, a day before the ASUS ROG tournament, when the two teams face off in the Finnish national championship final. The roster of Epsilon however, is hailing from Sweden, and has already secured the Swedish national championship belt this year, which brings an interesting dynamic to the yet incomplete team line-up at ASUS ROG Summer 2016 when two fresh Nordic national champions are entering the arena.
