ASUS ROG brings you the Finnish Championships of 2018 with three distinct tournaments taking place at Assembly Summer 2018 on August 2-4 with a combined prize pool of €15,000.
This summer ROG Tournaments will join the search for the best Finnish gamers in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Hearthstone and StarCraft II. We are happy to announce that ASUS ROG returns to Assembly Summer on August 2-4, 2018 with three tournaments designed to crown the official national champions and reward the winners with a share of the €15,000 combined prize purse. The competitions will gather players from open online qualifiers as well as invite distinguished players such as the defending national champions. The games will conclude at Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Centre where we will talor the shows to fit the nature of each of the game titles.

The official Finnish champion in 2018 in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be determined with a three-day double elimination tournament at Assembly Summer 2018 with €11,000 EUR on the line. CS:GO is the most followed esport in Finland and as such it deserves a sizable arena to accommodate the crowds. We are happy to welcome ROG Tournament CS:GO Finnish Championship 2018 on the main stage of Assembly Summer where the action will be shown on the huge screen with plenty of seats and for the whole LAN party to enjoy. The matches will be commented live in Finnish and broadcasted on Twitch and Yle.
The tournament will have two spots open for Finnish teams while the other two spots are have been given to the defending champion HAVU.PHZ and ENCE, which qualified by winning the Vectorama 2018 LAN tournament. Each player is required to have a valid eSM licence. All travel and accommodation costs are covered by the teams.
The qualifiers consists of two open qualifiers and one closed qualifier. The winners of the open qualifiers will advance to the closed qualifier, where they will meet two invited teams and play for the two spots in the main tournament.

The ROG Tournament Hearthstone Finnish Championship 2018 is played quite differently than the other national championship events. The competition will include up to 32 players who will sling their virtuals cards on their own devices in a tournament area provided by Assembly. The tournament area provides electricity and internet connection for the participants but the game will run on a machine of their own choosing. A stream with live commentary wil be produced on-site next to the competitors bringing the tournament atmosphere for the online viewers as well. The matches will fill two days on Friday and Saturday August 3-4, 2018.
The tournament will invite eight players, including the defending Finnish champion Alvar “Vardu” Dürr, while the rest of the 24 spots are open for grabs in the online qualifiers. Each player is required to have a valid eSM licence. All travel and accommodation costs are covered by the players or their teams.

Once again ASUS will be strongly present at Assembly Summer. This time the ASUS area will get even more action as it will feature the ROG Tournament StarCraft II Finnish Championship 2018 event. Eight players will battle in a traditional format for the trophy over the course of two days on August 3-4, 2018. The limited amount of players will ensure that every match of the competition will be streamed with live commentary in Finnish provided. While the size of the tournament is more intimate there is still every reason to come and watch the games live as there is ample seating for the audience directly in the ASUS area.
Two players will be invited while six spots are awarded through online qualifiers. Wenlei "ZhuGeLiang" Dai will receive an invite as the defending champion. Each player is required to have a valid eSM licence. All travel and accommodation costs are covered by the players or their teams.
