HELSINKI, FINLAND
FRI NOVEMBER 3rd - SUN NOVEMBER 5th
ASUS ROG Tournament returns to GameXpo, like last year, the focus of the event is in the Finnish esports community. This time we proudly give to you the first Finnish league for Overwatch.
The idea for the league originates from Helsinki REDS and ENCE eSports, who noticed a lack of tournaments in the Finnish competitive scene.
"There are numerous Overwatch teams in Finland and the scene is growing all the time. International tournaments for European scene are on the way, but we also feel that providing local activities is the requirement for organic growth."
Jussi Patjas, Helsinki REDS Project Manager, Oy HIFK Hockey Ab
ASUS ROG Tournament joined forces with companies from different sectors including Jimm’s, Ilta-Sanomat, Grano, and Bright and planned some serious action for Finnish teams in one of the biggest eSports titles in Finland.
"The key point of this league is building great experiences for teams, players, and the viewers. We are creating something new with the ideas from regular sports side that Helsinki REDS brings with, combined with over 10 years of eSports experience, it forms an unseen before package."
Petri Hämälä, Peliliiga Oy
