Here are the initial eight groups for the ASUS ROG Summer 2019 StarCraft II Tournament, kicking the competition off in Helsinki on Thursday, August 1st!
ASUS ROG Summer 2019 StarCraft Tournament is only a few days away so it’s about time we release the initial tournament groups! All 32 players, seeded by their WCS ranks, will start from the 1st group stage on Thursday which is played in the GSL style, double elimination format. Only half will manage advance to the next group stage which is fought in a similar fashion on Friday. Finally the eight top players will meet in a single elimination bracket on Saturday until only the champion remains.
In the first group stage, four groups will start simultaneously and play their matches one by one according to the schedule below. The main stream will focus on one group while partner streams will cover other groups. Every match should have at least one stream, so everyone can see their favorite contenders play. The next group stage will have two groups played simultaneously with the main stream once again picking one group to follow. The playoffs matches are all played individually.
